MICHAEL (VOLKER) KALTENTHALER
Michael (Volker) Kaltenthaler, share the news of his passing on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, with his family at his side, after a brief illness.
Remaining to cherish Michael's memory are his wife, Anneliese; children, Michelle (Norm) and Michael (Amanda); grand-children, Sarah, Sean, Katelyn and Aaron, as well as three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father, mother and older brother.
In his youth, Mike was a driven and
adventurous person, leading him to venture into his own business which he operated for a number of years as 'Mike's Denture Clinic' until retirement. During his retirement, he continued with his outdoor experiences of swimming, camping and fishing in the
summer.
At the cottage during the summer, Mike was able to prove his talents as "Mr. Fix It". Mike would fix anything. He was a unique person; widely respected for the view if something was worth doing, it should be done well.
Some of Mike's happiest moments were dancing with Anneliese.
In compliance with Mike's wishes,
cremation has taken place and a private
family interment will be held at a later date.
Anneliese would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all of the staff (doctors and
nurses) at St. Boniface Hospital ICU and 6th floor. Special thanks to Dr. Stephen Coyle.
In lieu of flowers, Mike would appreciate donations be made to Cancer Care Manitoba.

Vor ca. 2-3 Jahren war Marius (Sohn von Anja & Oliver) .. a year has passed since you were no longer with your wife Anneliese, your children Michelle (Norm), Michael (Amanda) and your grandchildren Sarah, Sean, Katelyn and Aaron. I met Mike when visiting his aunt Heidi (Heidemarie) and her then husband Alfons in Germany about 35 years ago. My parents, my brother Oliver and his wife Anja visited Canada at the time. About 2 years ago Marius (son of Anja & Oliver) was visiting Canada. The opportunity to visit Mike and his family in Canada did not come true. Mike will be sadly missed. His sense of humor was extraordinary and he smiled so very much. A good friend for over 40 years. Rest in peace, my dear friend. Will look for dimes to see when you have come around. Judy Stutzke - Posted by: Judy Stutzke (Friend) on: Nov 18, 2019
