BRENDA LYNN BEDNAR
(nee GUNDERSON)

Peacefully, with her loving husband Joe and her friend Judy by her side, Brenda, aged 57 years of Selkirk, MB, passed away on November 16, 2019 after a trying hospital stay at Health Sciences Centre.
She is survived by her husband Joe; her son Michael (Chrystal); granddaughter Corrinaa; stepchildren, Lisa, Craig, Brent and Danny; stepgrandson Elliott; father Don (Sissel); mother-in-law Josephine; siblings, Greg (Susie) and Bonnie (Brett); niece and nephews, Tanya (Nick), Hunter and Zachary, and great-nephews, Jaxson and Jace. She was predeceased by her mother Irene, and father-in-law Vladimir.
As a little girl, Brenda's first passion was cooking and baking for which she enjoyed her entire life. Brenda was an active volunteer with the annual Fishing for a Cure. She was a member of the Lions Club. As a youth she was a member of Job's Daughters.
Brenda really enjoyed camping, cross-border shopping and trips with the girls. She enjoyed her artistic endeavours, ceramics and painting. In the previous nine years she has enjoyed escaping Manitoba winters to go down south. Brenda enjoyed life despite many medical challenges.
Thanks to the Selkirk EMS and Fire Department for their excellent care. We sincerely wish to thank the staff at Health Sciences Centre step-down GA5 unit for their compassionate care and to Surgical ICU for making her comfortable until the end.
Prayers will be said on Wednesday (today), November 20, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel. Her pallbearers will be Michael, Greg, Brett, Brent, Craig and Danny.
