ITALO BISUTTI
February 3, 1933 - November 12, 2019
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife "Nina", daughter Laura, grandchildren, Joel, Josh and Julia, daughter Franca, and son-in-law Barry.
Dad was born in a small village in northern Italy called Domanins, located in the province of Friuli. He immigrated to Montreal, Canada in 1953 and later moved to Winnipeg where he met Mom. They were married one year later and recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on August 31, 2019.
Dad loved playing soccer in the early years with many friends from the Italian community, with whom he shared much in common. Throughout the years there were more friends, wonderful get-togethers, occasions for eating lots of delicious food and great wine.
Dad enjoyed spending lots of time in the kitchen and was an excellent cook. He loved to give "care packages" to all of his family. "Nonno" also took particular pleasure when his grandchildren enjoyed eating whatever he prepared. It was very important to him to make sure that everyone was provided for. His generosity, unparalleled. Dad also spent a lot of time in his garden in which he took pride. It was beautiful and meticulous. When he came home from work at the end of day, he could be found weeding through the row of herbs and vegetables while still dressed in his suit and tie.
Dad was employed in the business of precast-prestressed concrete. In the beginning he worked with Supercrete. Later his position was as foreman, then superintendent of the precast concrete division at Preco Ltd. Further on, he took a position in the business office as sales representative of Genstar Structures Ltd. Throughout his career he was known for his honour, integrity, and good character which were above reproach. In 1984 Dad took an early retirement at the age 51. He and Mom were able to enjoy many wonderful trips back and forth to Italy every year.
Dad was proud to see his grandchildren, Joel, Josh and Julia graduate high school and continue on in their own chosen field of education. There were many debates at the dining room table with "Nonno". We all laughed and had a great time listening to the spirited opinions that naturally go along with conversations between the generations.
It was Dad's wish to eventually return to rest in the Bisutti Family Mausoleum in the village where he was born, Domanins, Italy. Funeral service to be held in Italy.
He will be deeply missed and always loved by his family.

Sorry to hear of your fathers passing. The Bisutti’s in Ohio are related ! We come from the same place. My great grandfather came from Domanins. Likely your fathers brother. My grandfather was born in the US right after they arrived here. I’d love to get to Italy some day and see the motherland. Mrs. Bisutti, I am saddened by the passing of your dear husband Italo, who I had known since 1960 upon my arrival in Winnipeg. He was adamant and passionate Furlan. He always kept high feelings, respect and love for Italy. During the years I had the pleasure to share with him many views while working for Conforce as he was the key person for my business. If you recall I had the travel Agency in Winnipeg. I always respected friendship and kindness. My deepest sympathy to you and your girls and their families. Dear Laura, Franca and Mrs. Bisutti, Our sincere condolences on the passing of your dad and husband. Reading his obituary, I was reminded of a most memorable visit to Domanins in the late 80’s with Laura. Mr. Bisutti was indeed a generous host, amazing cook and proud gardener. He lovingly prepared and presented my favourite pasta (con funghi) and he picked fresh apricots for us and poured lots of wonderful Friuli (local) Pinot Grigio. Mr. Bisutti laughed at me because all I wanted all of the time was his pasta con funghi! When we visited his favourite restaurant in Venezia, we were promptly greeted by the owner who gave us the best table right at the water’s edge. And the same thing happened when he took us to the most beautiful open-air restaurant that I have ever been to, which was located in the northern Italian countryside. I will never forget this visit to Italy, which was made ever so special because of Mr. Bisutti. Yes indeed, his memory will live on! I forgot to mention that when Dad and I and a couple of other people went to The Ukraine in 1989, that Italo equipped us with Conforce jackets for that trip, which was super special for me as I was able to see where my father was born. - Posted by: Miriam Bergen (business person) on: Nov 23, 2019

My deepest condolences to you girls on the passing of your father and husband, Italo. I will always remember Italo as possibly the only man on the planet prouder of his Italian roots than my father. Many of my childhood memories involve the Venesia and Bisutti clans enjoying much frivolity and many animated discussions always accompanied by healthy amounts of great food and drink. I will cherish these memories forever. Tanti bacini a tutti. Dino Venesia St. Albert, Alberta - Posted by: Dino Venesia (Family Friend) on: Nov 23, 2019
