ESTELLE YVETTE POIRIER
She was predeceased by her parents, Ferdinand and Maria Beauchamp (née Boyer); and her brother-in-law Joachim Jahns.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family: husband of 56 years, Jean-Charles; her children, Mitch (Tarra), Lise (Randy Anderson), Marc and Suzanne (Jean Courcelles); her
grandchildren, Keith (Samara), Chris (Korissa), Nico, Dean (Joni), Janique (Josh), Dakota (Anthony) and Dawson; as well as her great-grandchildren, Kolton, Paxton, Kael, Mila and baby Anderson due April, 2020; her sisters, Gabrielle Jahns, Diane Barr and Sylvia (Joseph Senden); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Estelle, the youngest of four children, was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba, and grew up in Vasser. She met the love of her life
Jean-Charles in Mariapolis while teaching. They started their family in St. Claude, then Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes and finally settled in Winnipeg. Estelle really enjoyed working at CRA in customer services until her retirement in 2002.
She loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends and family were her greatest joy, next to her flower garden and playing cards.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., at
Saints-Martyrs-Canadiens Parish, 289 Dussault Avenue, Winnipeg. Eulogies will begin at 1:45 p.m.
A special thank you goes out to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care and CancerCare Manitoba for their exceptional care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or to Canadian Blood Services of which Estelle was a big supporter having proudly donated blood 65 times.
Family and friends may sign a
book of condolence at
Desjardins Funeral Home

Auntie Estelle was my aunt and godmother, and was definitely one of a kind. Growing up, her home always felt like a second home to me. As someone who's an introvert and doesn't always feel welcome, she always made me feel like I belonged and was welcomed. I truly enjoyed playing cards with her and the rest of the family growing up as well as getting to go on a cruise with her and Uncle Charlie after my wife and I had our first son. I will miss her dearly and will cherish my memories of her. My condolences to Uncle Charlie and the whole Poirier family. My prayers are with all of you. - Posted by: Lee Senden (Nephew) on: Nov 25, 2019

My deepest and heartfelt condolences in Estelle's passing. I have such wonderful memories of Estelle. Estelle was a beautiful and exceptionally special friend to me and I know to many others. Her friendly personality radiated around her. Meeting her for breakfast each Sunday and playing cards with her, her sister and Charles will be especially memorable. I and many others will remember and cherish her beautiful and warm smile, her kindness, her positive outlook, her enduring strength and courage as she faced her suffering and health challenges. Her love for her family was always very evident. Estelle was loved by many and will never be forgotten. May the precious memories of Estelle, your loved one be a comfort to family and friends now and may it help to know that many thoughts and prayers are with you in your sorrow and most difficult times. God bless her family who are left to mourn. May Estelle Rest In Peace with her loving Lord. I Love you Estelle. ~ Cher - Posted by: CHERYL HAMILTON (friend) on: Nov 24, 2019
