I would like to pass along my condolences to the Conn family on this tragic loss. Ed took a young inexperienced grain trader and taught me everything I know with patience, kindness and at times (very few) firmness. There wasn't a man more respected on the trading floor or in our office at Pioneer Grain. He was a mentor, a teacher but most importantly of all a friend. You will be missed by many Ed. - Posted by: Todd Busby (Friend ) on: Dec 12, 2019

I never remember a time when Ed did not greet you with a smile and a kind word. While we were never direct colleagues I had the distinct pleasure of working along side and with him on the trading floor. He shall be remembered fondly and his legacy will not be forgotten. Truly saddened to hear of his passing. - Posted by: Hugh Benham (Friend) on: Dec 05, 2019

One of the best teachers I have ever had. A supremely kind and patient man. Ed was the salt of the earth. - Posted by: David Reimann (Friend) on: Dec 04, 2019

Ed and I met when I started working for Pioneer Grain. He was my boss and became my mentor. Ed was always good humoured, patient and generous. He would take the time to make sure I knew how to do my job right but more importantly he gave me the permission to fail and learn from my own mistakes. Ed had a profound influence on me and the many other young people that he came in contact with over the years and part of his legacy will always be the people he positively impacted over the years. Thanks Ed. - Posted by: Brad Vannan (Friend) on: Dec 03, 2019
