JOAN ALICE ROBERTS
August 31, 1934 – November 27, 2019
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Grace Kelso; sister Peggy; brothers, Ross, Billy and John; daughter Cheryl; daughter in-law Dorothy and husband Albert Roberts.
She is survived by her sons, Barry, Glenn, Bruce (Terry) and Cory (Patricia); eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Joan was born in Winnipeg on August 31, 1934. Joan was married at the age of 16 and had a loving 48 year marriage with Albert. Joan was a kind hearted woman, a keen observer of people and a loving matriarch of her multi-generational family. Joan is fondly remembered by everyone for her delicious backyard grown tomatoes.
The family would like to extend thanks to the staff at Concordia, St. Boniface, Misercordia and Grace Hospitals who have been involved in her care these past 15 months.
Joan had asked that no service take place. The family has had a private celebration of her life and cremation has taken place.
