JEAN ELIZABETH MOSIEWICH

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jean Elizabeth Mosiewich, aged 94, on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Oakview Place in Winnipeg.
Jean will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Judy (Guy) Ferguson and their children, Kathryn, David and Natalie; Lynda (Henry) Nelson and their children, Robert and Alison; and Carol (Neil) Ferguson and their children, Andrew and Stephen; as well as great-grandchildren, Duke, Lincoln, Marshall, Wyatt, John, Jane, William, Greta, Wesley and Lachlan, whom she loved dearly.
Jean was predeceased by her husband Fred in 2000.
Jean's life revolved around her family and her farm. She was a gifted cook, and had numerous other talents. Jean sewed drapery, wedding dresses, recovered furniture, and completed innumerable beautiful projects. She enjoyed weekly card games at the 50 Plus Club in La Salle, was an ace billiards player, loved reading and enjoyed a daily crossword puzzle - the more challenging the better. In the years she and Fred ran their farm, Jean helped deep-tilling and combining, which she did proudly and capably. She was a woman of diverse abilities.
Above all, Jean was endlessly proud of her children and their families. She believed in them and supported them unconditionally, offering words of wisdom, and celebrating their accomplishments. To all who knew her, Jean will be remembered as a strong, optimistic woman who was, in many ways, slightly ahead of her time.
A private family service of remembrance will be held at a later date.
