My Dad, Fred Deegan and Sam worked together for many years at Searle Grain and were the best of friends. As a child, I remember Sam coming over to our house on Banning St. to help Dad paint our two storey house, put up storm windows, or stain the wood trim. This was always followed by a cold beer. They were often out Friday nights enjoying each other’s company. In more recent years, my husband Len and I would meet Margaret and Sam by chance, at Robins on Portage and Moray and managed to catch up on each other’s lives. Len and I would like to offer our condolences to Margaret and their family. I know my Dad treasured his friendship with Sam. - Posted by: Mary Kay Boguski nee Deegan (Friend) on: Dec 14, 2019
