WILNA (WILLY) GERALDINE JACYK
Wilna leaves to mourn her daughter Sheila and her son Daniel; her brothers, Don, Phil, George (Alvina) and Chet (Iris); sister Joyce; along with grandchildren; great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
Wilna loved playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren. Her summer trips back to visit family in BC were some of the best times of her life.
Wilna was predeceased by her parents, Hjordis (Jurdy) and George; her husband Laurence; her brothers, Edward and Raymond; as well as her granddaughter Meghan.
Willy graduated from the Selkirk Mental Health Centre as a Registered Practical Nurse in 1960. She spent her entire career at this facility and loved her work dearly. Upon retirement, Wilna often shared with family and friends how she could have never chosen a better career.
It is at this time we would like to sincerely thank the staff of Area 5 and Area 6 for all their care they have extended to Mom over the past two years.
In keeping with Wilna's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service will be held in spring for family and friends.
