George A. Nemeth, aged 81 years, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg.

George grew up on his family farm in Lestock, Saskatchewan. He later moved to Earl Grey, Saskatchewan where he learned to be a wonderful cook and made delicious pies, perogies, fudge and smoked sausage for his girls.
George worked very hard throughout his life and owned a successful business, Nemco Resources Ltd. for 25 years, until his retirement in 2008. George married Ramona, his wife of 42 years in 1977 and they continued to raise their blended family until his death.
George is survived by his wife Ramona and his five children, Dwayne (Maureen), Marty (Lenycha), Kelly, Cindy and Tara (Kelly); his eight grandchildren, Tanner, Kyle, Lucas, Dustin, Paige, McKenna, Tyler and Riley; his brother John Lorencz and his special dogs, Miki and Gigi.
We would like to thank the staff of the Grace Hospital and Deer Lodge Centre for all of their special care and compassion.

  • I am so sorry to hear of George’s passing. He was one of my favorite customers when I worked with Univar Canada. I always enjoyed our Customer lunches with our sales rep and George at Ray and Jerry’s, Georges restaurant of choice. My sincere condolences to the family. Rest In Peace George. - Posted by: Karen Asgeirson (Friend) on: Dec 21, 2019
