FLORA ISABELLE PRIDEAUX
(SCOTT)

It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of Flora Prideaux (Scott) at Deer Lodge Centre on Wednesday, December 18, 2019.
Flora was the second child of Jim and
Annie Scott of Hilton, Manitoba, where she was born on March 4, 1920. Flora joined the army in 1943 and was deployed to England. She was discharged in 1945 with the rank of Sergeant. She met and married Alfred Prideaux in 1948 and together they had three children; daughters, Bonnie (1949), Marianne (1952, passed at birth), and son Roderick (1956). Flora had a full life filled with many pursuits. She worked at various jobs throughout her life but wife, mother and
grandmother were her most beloved. She loved to make her famous chocolate chip cookies for her grandchildren who were the loves of her life.
She leaves to mourn daughter Bonnie
(Albert); son Rick (Margie); sister-in-law
Laverne Scott; and grandchildren, Cindy (Ryan), Dawn (Andrew) and Jason (Rachel); as well as great-grandchildren, Harrison, Briar, Samuel, Faith, Nathan, Renae and Drayden.
Flora was the final remaining member of her family, predeceased by brothers, John and Kelvin; and sisters, Muriel and Jean; her parents, John and Annie Scott; her husband Alfred; daughter Marianne; and grand-daughter Michelle; as well as grandparents, aunts, uncles, in-laws, many cousins and friends.
She was a member of Charleswood United Church, and a member of the TGIF church group, as well as the Salvation Army
Community Support Group, which she
enjoyed very much getting out to on
Wednesday mornings. Flora spent the last several years at the Eastern Star Chalet, where she was very happy and made many friends.
Flora loved to knit and made mittens for many a cold hand. She enjoyed music and loved to sing and play bingo. She would like to thank Joy Wilton for all her help and loving support over the years, as well as all her friends at Eastern Star Chalet and TGIF and her loving family for their kindness and love, especially Cindy who was always there for anything she needed.
Cremation has taken place, and a
Celebration of Life will be held on January 6, 2020 at Charleswood United Church, time to be decided. A private burial will be held at St. Vital Cemetery on March 4, 2020 to honour her hundredth birthday.
Anyone wishing to make donations, in lieu of flowers, can do so to the Winnipeg Humane Society in her honour.
Rest in Peace sweet Mum we all love you, until we meet again.
