BILL HAMILTON
November 9, 1917 - December 7, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Bill Hamilton.
Born in Winnipeg in 1917, Bill was predeceased by wife of 77 years, Min, parents, Robert and Catherine Hamilton, brother Bob, sisters, Catherine, Margaret Barnsley, and Nellie Roberts and niece Barb Filuk.
He will be greatly missed and remembered by sons, Grant (Kelle) and Gary (Wendy), grandchildren, Paul (Heejeong), Craig (Shawna), Sarah (Geoff), Lauren and Shannon, great-grandchildren, Taylor, James, Jake and Leah, and sister Ruby Fraser.
Bill was in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1941 to 1945 before joining Swift Canadian for over 40 years. Post retirement years were spent at Frederickson General Insurance. For 102 years he brought great joy into the hearts of everyone he met with his gentle smile, joyful laugh and positive words. He will always be remembered as a caring, fun-loving person where family always came first. If you ever smelled a Muriel Magnum cigar, heard the ice crackling in a rum and coke or saw a dog wagging its tail, you knew Dad was not far away. Thanks for the memories.
The family thanks the caring and compassionate staff of Station 2 Tuxedo Villa.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
A service for family and friends will take place on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4000 Portage Avenue.
