ROBERT FRANK MARKS
October 24, 1934 - December 17, 2019
He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Scott (Catherine Newcombe) and David; daughter-in-law Toni; grandchildren, Christine (Michael Kustra) and Andrew (Jenny); and great-granddaughter Allison. He was predeceased by his wife Kathleen; son Douglas; and sisters, Marge Campbell and Audrey Smith.
Bob was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB. Early in his career he worked as an accountant for the Sanatorium Board in Ninette, MB. Little did anyone know that Ninette would become a place that would forever be near to Bob's heart. Later in his career, Bob worked for the municipal hospitals and thereafter became the Executive Director at the Manitoba Lung Association, where he retired in 1996.
In his younger years Bob's favourite pastimes included going camping with his wife Kathleen and family. In his later years camping turned into spending time at the cabin in Ninette. Bob loved everything about being at the lake.
Bob was a hardworking and generous man who would do anything for his loved ones. Bob will also be remembered by all for his witty humour. Not a day went by where he didn't crack a joke that made everyone laugh. Bob left a big impression in the hearts of all who met him and he will forever be loved and missed.
Mass will be celebrated in Bob's honour on Monday, December 23, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Aidan's Anglican Church, 274 Campbell Street, Winnipeg, followed by a private family interment.
