PETER LEPINE

On Wednesday, December 18, 2019 our Dad passed away at the age of 85.
He was predeceased by his son Blain; mother of his children Lena; companion Geraldine; parents, Edward and Anna; brothers, Edward, Joe, Robert and Norman, Rene; sisters, Dinah, Doris, Lillian and Gertrude.
He will be lovingly remembered by sons, Mark (Kelly), Tyrone; daughter Shelly (Greg), Justin, Merisa. He will also be missed by grandchildren, Blain, Brad, Rheanna, Krystal, Lena, Sofia, Nadya, Eva and numerous great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Dad was born in Portage la Prairie, MB on August 31, 1934 and grew up in St. Ambrose MB. He worked for the City of Winnipeg as a garbage truck driver for 30 years and raised his children in Winnipeg. He enjoyed spending time with family and with friends, mostly in uncle Dennis's garage or in his back yard. In his younger years, he loved to fish and hunt. Dad spent the last few years living with Mark and Kelly.
We would like to thank Kelly for lovingly taking care of her pops. There are no words to truly express how grateful we are for the love and support you gave our dad. And Mark….you are our hero, we know it wasn't easy, but you gave dad a loving home and did so much for him, we were at ease knowing he was in good hands.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. til 1:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Ave., Winnipeg, MB.
A private family interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I love Uncle Pete. I remember him and think of him all the time. I remember that he is kind, loving & very hard working. I remember him working in my grandfather's garage when I was just a boy. I was always right there curious as heck, and always grabbing the wrong size of tools for him. I remember him playing cribbage with my grandmother his sister Gertrude at the house and he would get so so choked when he lost lol it was so funny then he would say "double or nothing, come on lets go". He was my Grandfather's best friend and he is my Uncle Pete. I'm so sorry I was never there or didn't call. I love my family so much I had to distance myself from them to protect them. I love them so much. I just wish I could turn back time and be there but I can't. I don't even know what to say even if I called. I'm Sorry for your loss. I'm Sorry this is being written so late. Then I came across this Obituary I cried because I remember him just like it was yesterday. I remember everybody just like it was yesterday. Uncle Pete I miss you and Love you and you will always be remembered by me Bucky. I'm Sorry - Posted by: Alden Knight (Uncle) on: Apr 17, 2022
