Wilfred Harold Matthews, born July 4, 1923, passed peacefully December 31, 2019, at Grace Hospital.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Harold Matthews. He was predeceased by his wife Molly, of 60 years who passed January 1, 2009.

Harold served in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a pilot during the Second World War, worked for MTS in many varied roles for 44 years, and was a lifelong member of the Salvation Army where he served as an elder in the church and many other roles within the church.
Many thanks to the medical teams at both Health Sciences Centre and Grace Hospital who provided outstanding care for our loved one in the final stages of his life.

  • Hi am sending this for mom & our family. So sorry to learn about Uncle Harold’s passing. Our families had many good times & formed many memories together. They will stay with us forever. Unfortunately none of us are able to attend the funeral as we are away & Mom is unable to travel without a lot of assistance. You are in our thoughts & thinking of you at this very sad time.
