FRANCES G. RERIE
Frances was predeceased by her husband Kenneth, sister Ida (Stanley), brother Ben (Agnes) and parents, Gertrude and Frank Klok.
Frances is remembered by her sons,
William and Grant (Valerie) and loving niece Lorraine Doherty (Nick) in addition to
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Frances was born on December 12, 1928 in Winnipeg and was raised in Elmwood, where she attended Lord Selkirk School. She
married Ken on July 22, 1950 and they
remained partners in love for over 67 years until his passing in 2017. Frances and Ken raised their family in East Kildonan and
enjoyed sharing their home with family and friends for many years until later in life when they relocated to their property on the Whitemouth River near Seven Sister's Falls. They returned to Winnipeg in 2001.
With her engaging personality, mom
enjoyed many friendships over the years
including those made while working at
Eaton's and through her activities at
Sherwood Park Lutheran Church. Mom had an indomitable spirit that was challenged in
mid-life when she was diagnosed with cancer. In the years that followed, mom and dad
enjoyed their lives together as they embarked on a series of travel adventures with their close friends and relatives.
Foremost, mom will be remembered for her endearing love for her family to whom she provided quiet guidance and support. Even the onset of dementia in the last decade of her life could not extinguish her genuine warmth and kindness towards others. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Frances' life will be held at Sherwood Park Lutheran Church, 7 Tudor Crescent, on Thursday, January 16 at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Frances' name may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.

My parents were very good friends with Fran and Ken. Remembering so many times as a kid going with my parents to visit. The great meals Fran prepared, and fun I had playing hide and go seek with their dog. Fran was always so happy to have us over. Laughing, visiting with us. While my dad and ken were watching football. My mom sends her love too Deepest sympathy 💕 - Posted by: Lisa Crozier (Friends ) on: Jan 15, 2020
