WILLIAM (BILL) JAMES ANDERSON
April 6, 1931 - December 12, 2019
He was born and raised in the Morse Place area. Bill was a bricklayer by trade until joining the East Kildonan Police in February 1963 until his retirement from the Winnipeg Police in April 1991. He proudly raised his family in Selkirk, MB.
Bill was predeceased by his wife Norma; sister Muriel and grandchildren, Ashley and Kyle. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Shelley (Dave) Skogstad, Rob (Heather) Anderson and Noelle (Dennis) Tayfel; grandchildren, Christopher (Jess) Skogstad, Dylan, Travis, Sydney Tayfel, Courtney (Kyle) Savary and Kelsee Anderson; great-grandchildren, Clark and Logan Skogstad; and cousin Kathy Henderson, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
It was Dad's wish there be no funeral service. Dad's Celebration of Life will be held at Gilbart Funeral Home Reception Centre (use rear hall entrance), 309 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB, Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
If so desired, memorial donations may be made in Bill's name to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
