Date of Passing: Jan 08, 2020
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or Memory
MARION FEDAK
(nee THOMPSON)
She was predeceased by her parents, Blanche and Malcolm Thompson, brothers, Don, Duncan and Robert, sister Edna, and daughter Lois.
Marion will be very missed by her loving husband of 64 years, Orest, daughters, Jackie (Shawn) and Janet (Lance), six grandchildren, Alyssa, Dane, Bryan, Quinn, Jacey, Alexa, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
After completing her high school, Marion worked for Manitoba Telephones and Manitoba Public Insurance, in addition to volunteering with the Canadian Cancer Society.
Marion will be remembered as a kind, happy, gentle person who loved her family and friends and had a particularly nice way with people around her, often using subtle humour in her conversation. She had a supportive and understanding personality. She loved annual winter vacations with Orest, travelling to Florida, Arizona and regularly to Bucerias, Mexico. Marion was also a member of Westworth United Church where she practiced her faith. Despite her health challenges in her last few years, Marion continued to live as she always did - being there for others; an amazing wife, mother, grandma and friend.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and healthcare aides on the 5th floor of the Victoria Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson Canada or Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
Funeral services will be held at Westworth United Church, 1750 Grosvenor Avenue, Friday, January 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.

I remember spending so much time at the Fedak household as a kid. Marion was so kind and sweet to me. She always made sure I had enough to eat - "Are you sure you had enough, Pat?". Marion had a huge heart. She was also very smart and observant. Whoever wrote "subtle humour" in her obit got it completely right. It was a privilege to know Marion. May the angels guide you Marion. To Orest, J and J, my love. - Posted by: Patricia Cormack (Friend of the twins) on: Jan 18, 2020

Orest and Family, We are so sorry for your loss. As a child I remember our visits and Marion was always warm, friendly and inviting. When I moved to Winnipeg for school as a young adult she made me feel at home and I knew that I could always count on them if I needed family when I was far from home. And as a new Mother I was thrilled to have my baby son visit with the same hospitality, warmth and laughter. xoxo Catherine, Bill & Matthew - Posted by: Catherine (Fedak) Kosyk (cousin) on: Jan 11, 2020
