I was very saddened to hear of Neil's passing. I worked with him in the programming department at Manitoba Health Organizations for many years. He was my immediate supervisor and a wonderful boss. Although quiet and reserved, he really "knew his stuff" and was helpful, considerate and, at times, quite funny. So sorry to hear that he is gone! Sincere sympathy to his family and those closest to him. - Posted by: Louise Moore (Former co-worker) on: Jan 28, 2020

Deepest sympathies to Neil’s family. I remember him as a very kind co-worker when I was just starting my career at MHO. A quiet guy with an amazing sense of humour, he would have us all laughing with just a word or two. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Linda Janzen (Former co-worker) on: Jan 28, 2020

While the passage of time leads to people establishing their own lives the simple fact of growing up in East Kildonan, just down the street from the Sparrow family, never leaves you and brings back some very fond memories. I was shocked, after all this time, to have to read about Neil's passing and would like to take this opportunity to extend my sincere condolences at this difficult time to the family and the loved ones that Neil leaves behind and hope that his memory continues to provide comfort to those he had shared his life with.
