LONNIE OLE CHRISTENSEN
Lonnie will be so very missed by his parents, Donald and Sylvia, sister Kim, brother-in-law Barry, nephew Scott, Aunt Eileen (Raymond), Uncle Ron (Linda), cousins Naomi, Jason and Troy, family and friends.
Lonnie was predeceased by his grandparents, Ole and Karolina Christensen.
A bit of an adrenaline junkie, Lonnie enjoyed riding street motorbikes, dirt-biking, scuba-diving, all genres of music, art and quirky movies. If it was fast and loud, he loved it! Sin City or Tank Girl anyone? Lonnie was employed at Magellan Aerospace for 33 years and built many lasting friendships. He started working in aircraft sheet metal and eventually earned the position of Quality Control Aerospace Inspector. Through his short illness, he never gave in to self-pity, instead concerning himself with how his illness was affecting his family and friends. Lonnie's loyalty, kindness and easy-going spirit will be missed by everyone he came in contact with. There are no words to justify the void his passing has created.
Heartfelt thanks are extended to the Health Sciences Centre GH4 staff for their fabulous care.
A 'Celebration of Life' will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Health Sciences Centre Foundation.

I only had the pleasure of working with Lonnie for a little over a year, but from my first day at Magellan, he was always kind, friendly and fun to work alongside. He was indeed a lover of all kinds of music, and his support for my band was unprecedented. I will always be grateful to have met him, and for the laughs we shared on the job. I will always remember the night we cruised side by side down Portage Ave on the way home from work, me in my car, him on his bike. We all miss you Lonnie. Thank you for the memories. - Posted by: Jarrod Doern (Co-Worker) on: Jan 27, 2020

I was devastated to hear of Lonnie's passing. Lonnie was one of my best friends when we boys growing up across the back lane from his parents house on Chalmers. I'll remember the long summer days just hanging out, the block wide games of hide and seek and most of all having Lonnie as a friend. My heartfelt condolences to Mr. and Mrs. Christensen and Kim. It was a pleasure to know and work with Lonnie for many years. Lonnie enjoyed conversation and would always take the time to chat with you on just about any topic. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and was always friendly and kind towards others. All of a sudden he left us and I know he is deeply missed by all his coworkers. Rest in peace Lonnie and thanks for the memories. - Posted by: Rob Lipps (CoWorker) on: Jan 25, 2020
