He was predeceased by his parents, George and Opal Scott. Survived by his sons, Paul (Amanda) and Michael (Jessie); sister, Eleanor (Waldy); partner, Susan; grand-daughter, Shaylee; nephew, Todd (Kyla); niece, Erin; and other extended family.
Bonnar started his life in Dauphin, MB, and his life and work took him many places here and abroad. He began his working career in the electrical industry, but that was short lived. I read of Bonnar's death in the Free Press. Eleanor, you probably do not remember me, but I lived two houses from you and your family on 5th Avenue S.W. I babysat both you and Bonnar and my parents were friends of your parents. My maiden name was Donna Jean Cox. Please accept my condolences as you mourn the loss of Bonnar. - Posted by: Donna Mansfield (Friend) on: Feb 08, 2020

So so sorry to hear of Bonnar's passing. Condolences to his family. I had the pleasure of knowing him when I worked at Calm Air in Churchill, he was a great friend we had a lot of laughs together, I remember when I was a flight attendant on one of our flights together him and Frank Kelner they had me come up too the cockpit and told me that they were having a problem getting the flaps to come down and asked me to go in the back and start jumping up and down to try and get them to come down. I didn’t want to do it but they convinced me so off I went they told me to leave the cabin door open so they could tell me when too jump so I did and when I saw the flaps coming down I went up to tell them, they were laughing so hard they couldn’t speak. I will never forget it, of course Bonnar had radio ahead and told everyone so when we landed and we went into the terminal everyone was jumping up and down! We had a lot of good times together he will be greatly missed !! - Posted by: Melba Orzeck (Friend) on: Feb 01, 2020
