OLGA SVANHILDUR ROGERS
She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard; her parents, Bergvin and Kristjana Johnson; and siblings, Margaret, John, George, Eddie, Tom and Bill. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Gaylene (John) Waddell, Lorelee Lytle, and Leslie Cleven; grandchildren, Jeff, Creag (Jessica), Brian, and Raegan (Mike); and great-grandchildren, Alexander, Elizabeth, Everly, and Nola.
Olly was born in Tilston, Manitoba, on April 13, 1924, and later moved to Winnipeg, where she met her soulmate, Leonard. They married in 1946, and built their family home in Charleswood, and together raised their three girls. Mom worked part-time at Eatons, and enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, gardening and travelling. Most of all, she loved her family, and enjoyed all the many family dinners and gatherings.
The family wishes to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Assiniboine Links, for making her eight year stay enjoyable, and the staff at CancerCare Manitoba, St. Boniface Hospital, and Deer Lodge Centre for their compassion and kindness.
As per Olly's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will celebrate her life and mourn her passing privately.
Thank you, Mom, for your unconditional love.
You are sadly missed.

Mrs. Rogers will always be remembered for her kindness, sense of humour, winning smile and laughter. Having grown up across the street from the Rogers family we could not have had any better neigbours. Years later my parents had the good fortune of having Mrs. Rogers as their neighbour again at the Charleswood Links for a number of years. Condolences to Gaylene, Lorelee, Leslie & the family. - Posted by: Greg Feher (Former neighbor) on: Aug 29, 2021
