Lina Herzog (nee Meyer) was born April 11, 1943, in Ehingen, Germany. She was the second daughter born to Friedrich and Karolina (nee Ott) Meyer. Lina was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran Evangelical Church. She was educated in the local school and attended the Agricultural School. Lina worked hard helping her parents on their farm.
Lina married Karl Johann, the love of her life on May 23, 1964. Together they continued working on the family farm. She especially loved her flower gardens. Their son Karl was born on March 10, 1967. In January, 1989, the family immigrated to Canada to farm near Springstein, MB.
Lina was predeceased by her father on December 21, 1961; her sister Frieda in September 1973; her mother in January 1990; and her dear husband in January 1997.
Lina is survived by her son Karl, (Gisela). She also leaves family and friends in Germany.

A funeral service for Lina will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2020, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave.
