I had the good fortune to work with Don when he worked for the Coca Cola Company many years ago. Over the course of time I really appreciated Don's acerbic wit and quick retorts as we drove between service calls for Coke products in Winnipeg;. Don was probably one of the hardest working and most organized employee's at Coca Cola that I had that I ever worked with in my role as a delivery helper. My brothers John and Dave also had fond memories of their time working with Don during those glorious summers in the early 1970's. When the three of us got together we would invariably recall some of the funny events while working with Don. Some of these events still bring on tears from laughter until this day. My deepest sympathies to the Hopkins family. Rest In Peace Don you will always be remembered... Gerry Shewchuk - Posted by: Gerry Shewchuk (Fellow Co Worker) on: Dec 16, 2020

I have a lot of fond memories of the fun times We shared together. Especially all those years we had season tickets to the Bomber games. He must have been so happy this past year when the Bombers finally won another Grey Cup. Our sincere condolences to Jackie and family as well as to his brother Mike. - Posted by: Greg Milloy (Friend) on: Feb 17, 2020

I am so sad to have lost my beloved uncle, Don Hopkins. I remember going out to the farm with my Mom when I was over for Christmas. Don had feral cats he was feeding that lived in his woodpile and he also had little birds so tame they would sit in his hand to eat seeds. Such a kind beautiful soul. He had a fantastic sense of humour too. Very quick with a funny comeback or witty line. Most of all I remember him as a young man when I was just a kid and he was so handsome and always made time for us, saddling the horse for Doris and me to sit up on while he led her around the yard. We will all miss him but most of all his wife Jackie and their children and grandchildren will find there's a big hole in their lives. My heartfelt condolences to you all. - Posted by: Margaret Hopkins (Niece ) on: Feb 10, 2020
