MEE YIP CHAN
She is survived by her husband of more than 71 years, Bing Nam Chan; children, Ling, Linda, David (Sing), Yvonne, and Wayne Chan; and siblings, Chuck Yee, Helen Eng, Ping Tam and Chou Har Lam.
Mom was born in Toy Sun, China on November 20, 1929. Mom immigrated to Winnipeg from Hong Kong in 1959 with two of her children. She spent many years and long hours working with dad in the restaurant business in Winnipeg. In her retirement years, mom enjoyed going to the casino and going for coffee with dad. She loved cooking and sewing. Mom will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held on February 11, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.
The family would like to express our thanks for the help and care given by Beacon Hill Lodge on the 5th floor.

So sorry to read of Mrs. Chan’s passing. As your neighbours on Melbourne, we always remember, your Mum’s lovely smile and the pride she and your Grandmother took in showing us the garden and the many vegetables they grew.
