WILLIAM JAMES (JIM) CHRISTISON

Born February 5, 1953, passed away February 15, 2020, at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Jim was originally from Carberry, Manitoba. His career was with Manitoba Hydro and he moved various places in Manitoba, finally settling in East Selkirk in 1980. In 1997 he married Elenore (Ellie) Zarichney of Selkirk.
Jim was very involved with Manitoba Agricultural Museum, as well as other Antique Tractor clubs in Canada and USA.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, and his wife Ellie. He is survived by his stepsons, Matt Zarichney and Sheldon (Theresa) Zarichney; brothers, Alex (Lynn) and Garth (Donna) and their families; grandchildren, Heather, Brittany, Zakary, Terri, Wayne and Jessica; four great-grandchildren and several grandpups.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will take place on Monday, February 24, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB, with reception to follow.
He will be laid to rest at a private family service at the Carberry Cemetery at a later date.
The family would like to extend sincere thanks to the staff at Selkirk Regional Health Centre and Gilbart Funeral Home for their compassionate service at this difficult time.
