On February 15, 2020, James passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 72.
James leaves behind Elain, his wife of 49 years; son Ryan (Steph); the loves of his life, granddaughters, Jocelyn and Julia; brothers, David (Debbie) and Peter; in-laws, Robert (Heather) Reid, Irene (James) Trann, and Harold Reid.
James worked 38 and one-half years for the City of Winnipeg.
Cremation has taken place with burial in Brookside Cemetery.
