THOMAS MAGRELL RUSSNAK

It is with great sadness that we announce that Thomas passed away peacefully, on February 17, 2020, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Marcia; his daughters, Tracey (Merrick), Charlene (Cory) and Brenda (Anna); and his sister Barbara Russnak (Brian). He was a proud and loving grandfather to his five grandchildren, Noah, Gracelyn, Kayleigh, Cooper and Brady.
Tom was employed at Greater Winnipeg Cablevision for 27 years. Following his retirement he enjoyed travelling, spending time with his grandchildren, and working in the garden.
We wish to thank the health care teams at CancerCare Manitoba and Riverview Health Centre for their care and compassion.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 341 Munroe Ave. A small reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Marcia I was so sorry to hear that Tom has passed away. He fought a long hard battle and now he can rest in peace. I'm so glad that you all had a wonderful Christmas together with family. I'm sure that Tom was very happy having family around for one last holiday although he was suffering. I am glad mom and I got to visit with you both in May 2017 at Noah's graduation. My prayers are with you. Ellen Mclaughlin - Posted by: Ellen (Redden) Mclaughlin (Sister to Tom's son-in-law Merrick) on: Feb 22, 2020

  • Please accept my deepest sympathies. May the support of friends and Family help to ease the burden of your great loss. May loving memories be a source of comfort and peace. - Posted by: Olia Susky (Aunt in-law) on: Feb 21, 2020
