PATRICIA E. HAGMAN
(nee SULKERS)
1936 - 2020

Peacefully on February 15, 2020, Patricia Eleanor Hagman, passed away at the Beausejour Hospital, at the age of 83 years.
Patricia will be lovingly remembered by her four sons, Jeff (Lori), Dean (Eugene), Erik (Andrea) and Brett (Amber); and sadly missed by her grandchildren, (the lights of her life), Adara, Kaitlyn, Elizabeth and James. She will also be missed by her sister Wynne Park, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; especially lifelong friends, Bill and Delores, Barb, Ann and Betty.
She was predeceased by her husband Earl; parents, Cornelius and Heiltje Sulkers; sisters, Mary De Vries and Adeline Vander Kraake; brothers, Peter and Herman Sulkers.
Patricia was born in Narol, Manitoba and graduated from Grade 13 at the Lord Selkirk High School. After high school she worked at the Winnipeg Grain Exchange. In 1981 she worked part-time at the Taxation Centre until her retirement in 1994.
In 1958, she met her sweetheart, Earl. They were married and moved to St. Vital where they started their family. In 1972 they relocated to Springfield, Manitoba where they resided for 38 years before moving to Markham, Ontario in 2010 to be closer to their grandchildren. In 2016, Patricia moved back to Manitoba as she missed the homestead and all of the memories.
Patricia's priority was always her family and she enjoyed being a homemaker. Patricia loved cooking and baking and having big family dinners. Her recipe book will be coveted and closely guarded by her sons. Many people have enjoyed her shortbread cookies, as well as other delicious recipes and those will be enjoyed by countless others for generations to come.
She was most at peace when her family was all together. Patricia was an avid gardener and loved her flowers and nature. Her favourite plant was the African Violet. She kept her mind sharp by defeating the NY Times crossword puzzle every day. They went on many family vacations, but her most favourite memories were camping at East Blue Lake with the boys. Patricia and Earl did manage to do some travelling to Europe, Mexico, United States and Canada. Besides gardening, Patricia's favourite pastime was going to as many garage sales as possible to see what treasures she could find.
Patricia always made you feel at home and enjoyed having a "cup of tea" with family and friends.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at the Beausejour Hospital. A special thank you to Bill and Delores, Barb, Susanne, Jan and Lorne, Al and Mary-Margaret for all the hospital visits. You always made Mom's day so much more cheerful.
Cremation has taken place. Her children said goodbye at a private family service.

Farewell Mom; until we meet again.
