SYLVIA MARGARET HANSON
Sylvia was born on June 22, 1923 to Albert and Signe Naslund in Winnipeg. She had one older brother Lennart. Mom was predeceased by our father Ralph in 2010. They were married for 64 years.
Sylvia is remembered by her children, Judi, Brian (Starr) and David (Shelly). She has six grandchildren: Sean, Shannon, Blair, Brett, Hannah and Hayley, and six great-grandchildren: Kyra, Caelin, Signe, Kate, Kenna and Jack.
Their love of the cottage at Brereton Lake began even before they were married. Many happy summers were spent there enjoying family and friends.
Mom and Dad loved to travel, whether it was on fishing trips with friends; camping holidays with their children and later numerous adventures with the Shrine. They made many new friends when they discovered bus trips that took them all over North America.
The family would like to thank the staff at Calvary Place for their compassion and care of our mother.
A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame (across from Brookside Cemetery).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to a charity of your choice.
