GLEN SHEWFELT
1942 - 2020
Born in Grandview, Manitoba, he was the oldest son of the late Elsie and Clarence. After graduating, Glen began his lengthy career in the aviation industry, first as a radio operator, and then as an Air Traffic Controller. Most of his career was spent in Winnipeg, with both Transport Canada and NavCanada.
Glen was an avid runner, and loved spending summers sailing at Clear Lake. Winters were spent having a "cold one" in his second home of Mazatlan, Mexico.
He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was exceptionally giving, making sure his family had the best of everything, never asking for anything in return.
Left to mourn his passing are his loving wife of 51 years, Louise; daughter, Meghan (Darren DeKezel) Shewfelt; son, Kyle (Lisa) Shewfelt; grandchildren, Carson and Lindy; brothers, Ralph (Linda), Bill (Pat), and Keith (Barb); as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Glen's devoted caregivers at Golden West Centennial Lodge.
Cremation has taken place.
Interment will take place in Chapel Lawn Cemetery at a later date.

Glen was my instructor when I arrived in Winnipeg ACC as a Shift Manager. He was a remarkably fair and likable person. Glen was liked and respected by both management and the control staff. Not an easy feat at the time. Watching him work with people showed why he was so respected. My condolences to his family. - Posted by: Bob Joubert (Co-Worker) on: May 26, 2023
