(nee PICHNICKI)
July 10, 1921 - February 21, 2020
grandmother and great-grandmother, Susan Wazny, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home.
Susan will be greatly missed by her
children, Louis Wazny and Christine Lazarko, grandchildren, Candice (Brent), Angeline (Wayne), Edward (Cory), David (Jacqueline), and Laura, and nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband
Edward in 2007, her daughter-in-law Violet, son-in-law David, two brothers and three
sisters.
Mom was born on the homestead in the Red Deer District. Mom and dad were married October 17, 1942 and farmed in the Springwell area until their retirement in 1989, when they moved to Lac du Bonnet. Mom enjoyed many activities which included gardening, houseplants, crocheting, knitting and cooking. No one ever left hungry.
Susan's pride and joy was her family, and she enjoyed her time spent with them.
The family would like to thank the staff at Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home for the care and compassion shown to our mom.
Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, February 27 at 11:00 a.m. at Notre Dame du Lac Roman Catholic Church with viewing one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in the Lac du Bonnet Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home.
