ELAINE ALBERTINE LUTZ
(DALKE)
May 20, 1932 - February 21, 2020

Elaine was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Art, in 2017; and her sister, Bernice, in 1984.
She is survived by son, Gary (Machelle), Michael, Kyle and Raine of Edmonton; daughter, Caron (Scott) Garvey; and son, David of Winnipeg.
Elaine was born and raised in Winnipeg. She attended Normal School, and taught until starting a family. She dedicated her life to being the best mom and grandma. She was known for her cinnamon buns, and love of sewing. She also was a singer, songwriter, and entertained with her keyboard.
Mom and Dad loved camping with the family, which led to retirement in Salmon Arm for 10 glorious years. They returned to Winnipeg to care for their aging mothers. They were active members of the Lutheran Church, wherever they lived. Their lives were guided by their strong faith, evident by the kindness and compassion they showed to anyone who crossed their path.
Mom spent her last three years happily at Sturgeon I Retirement Home, and peacefully died after a short battle with cancer, at Riverview Palliative Unit.
The family would like to thank the staff of Sturgeon I and Riverview for their care.
Cremation has taken place. A private graveside burial will follow at a later date.
Donations may be made to Friends Housing, 100-890 Sturgeon Road, Winnipeg, MB R2Y 0L2.
