ERICH KARL DILSSNER

On the morning of February 22, 2020, Erich peacefully slipped away, surrounded by his loving wife Ursula and son Roland.
Erich was predeceased by his parents, Eduard Karl and Marianna, and his brother Dieter.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ursula, son Roland and daughter-in-law Janet, granddaughter Jenipher, and numerous extended family members.
Born January 15, 1936, Erich endured many struggles and triumphs throughout his life. Immigrating to Canada in 1956 he embarked on his Canadian dream. He first started working for Anseeuw Brothers dairy farm and maintained a lifelong friendship with the family. Later he worked for a number of years in various Winnipeg foundries. Eventually he started in construction and ended his career with B&F Masonry in 1991.
Erich's greatest joys were fishing and going to Camp Neustadt where he and his wife had a trailer and many friends. Buying a motorhome in 1986, he travelled extensively throughout Canada and the U.S.A. with family.
Please join family and friends on March 28, 2020, at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to celebrate Erich's life.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • So sorry for your loss Tante Ulla and Roland! My thoughts are with you at this time of deep sorrow. Take care. - Posted by: Dianne Garnett (family friend) on: Feb 29, 2020
