MARGARET LILLIAN CLAVELLE
(nee LIGHT)
Margaret was born in Winnipeg, growing up in the Brooklands area. She worked for many years in the Norwood School Division at Queen Elizabeth and Archwood schools, a job that she truly loved.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Caroline and is survived by two brothers, Roy and Robin.
Margaret will be missed by her loving children, Grant (Joyce) of Minneapolis, Larry (RoAnn) of Calgary, Maureen (Barry) of Winnipeg, Doug of Vancouver, and Karen (Jim) of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Christian and Justin, Jason and Krista, Ravyn and Paris, and great-grandchildren, Kayla and Taylor.
Mom was a vibrant women with a great sense of humour and a lot of sass. She loved to participate in activities such as bowling, cards, bingo and games . and she loved it even more when she won. She always wanted to be part of the action no matter where it was.
Mom loved to travel having taken many cruises, trips to Vancouver, and trips to the States.
Mom also gave back to the community through acts of volunteerism. She was a member of The Manitoba Peace Officers Club, The Canadian Wildlife Federation and was a 20+ year volunteer in the St. Boniface Hospital gift shop.
We have many fond memories of mom especially the fun times we had growing up at the lake. In addition to her own five kids, there were numerous extra friends who were always welcome, whether it be Gull Lake, Toniata, Falcon Lake, or Bissett.
We want to acknowledge the support of her good friends and staff at the Canoe Club and the care she received in her last days at Victoria Hospital.
The family has decided to have a celebration of her life in the coming months.

My deepest sympathy to the Clavelle family. Over the last 20 years I’ve had lunch regularly with our group of “girls” and Marg was a regular. We had a lot of laughs together. She was great fun to be with and I have so many happy memories. She won’t be forgotten. She loved her family and was so proud of them. Rest In Peace, Marg. I have known Margaret for many years and bowled with her at the coronation bowling lanes for many many years. She was an amazing woman always laughing always positive and just fun to be with. I got a Christmas card from her this Christmas and talked to her on the phone as well. She said she was going to come and see the ladies at the bowling lanes, have a cup of coffee with us all and chat. We all miss her very much. To her family she loves you all and was very proud of her grandchildren. - Posted by: Nancy Saltel (Friend) on: Mar 15, 2020

I had the chance to meet with aunt Margaret on my last trip to Winnipeg in 2016. Despite the distance and the few times I've met with her, I will always keep her in my thoughts. Big hugs and condolences to all my cousins and family on your loss. Jacques Clavelle xx - Posted by: Jacques Clavelle (Nephew) on: Mar 14, 2020
