CHARLIE (CORNELIUS) WALL
He was predeceased by his wife Theresa (Terry), and his grandson Lucas. He is survived by his children, Dan (Janice), Darlene (Gary), Susie (Tim), Jackie (Lou), and his grandchildren, Courtney, Harley and Stephanie.
Charlie was a man of dedication and hard work. Other than family his greatest love and achievement was at Hillside Beach where, together with his family, he built the family cottage. His pride and tireless contributions within the Hillside community also resulted in the honour of 'The Charlie Wall Park' being named after him. He was not a man of many words but was deeply respected and loved by many. He will be greatly missed.
A service and interment for family only is to be held on Friday, March 27, 2020, with a Celebration of Life to be determined at a later date.

Condolences & Memories (13 entries)
My deepest condolences to the family. My dad John Wall and Uncle Charlie where brothers. I remember as a boy Uncle Charlie used to bring us coal for heating . He had his truck and that's what he did. Later he worked at St. Vital Lumber and after that I lost track. Many years passed I believe he was in his 80s where my dad was at Meadowwood Manor. My brother Ron said we need to pickup Uncle Charlie and bring him over to see dad. Gosh it was good to see Uncle Charlie. Haden't seen him for so long. I know I'll never be able to forget him because people say he and I look so much alike. - Posted by: Ernie Wall (Nephew ) on: Mar 28, 2020

Our deepest sympathies to your family Darlene. I did not know your dad, but I know how much you admired and loved him. May you find peace in knowing that he is no longer suffering and is with your mom. Love you so much. Gayle and Barry - Posted by: Gayle Mcpherson (Friend) on: Mar 23, 2020

I am sending my heartfelt condolences to all of Charlie’s family. As a young kid Theresa and Charlie babysat my sister and I . We grew up calling both Charlie and Teresa Aunty and Uncle. Over the years I would see uncle Charlie at his work place St Vital Lumber. Charlie was so kind to me and each time I saw him, I still addressed him as Uncle Charlie. - Posted by: Cindy Ducharme Mullin (Family friend) on: Mar 21, 2020
Our deepest sympathy and condolences to the Wall family. Only knew Charlie for a short time from Cathedral Manor. He and Terry were very good to Doreen during her stay there. He was a real gentleman and will be truly missed. 🙏 Doreen and Dan Coutts - Posted by: Doreen and Dan Coutts (Friend) on: Mar 20, 2020
So sorry to the family and community for your loss. Charlie was always such a friendly guy and would always be working away keeping Hillside Beach beautiful. There's no one more fitting to have named the park after. - Posted by: Balsam Bay Septic Service LTD (Friend and customer ) on: Mar 20, 2020
I believe my father and Charlie were cousins, making Charlie's dad and my grandpa Wall brothers. Reaching out to the children and family to offer my sincere condolences. - Posted by: Darlene Wall (Second cousin to children) on: Mar 20, 2020
Condolences to the Wall Family. Neither my husband nor I ever met Mr. Wall however, from what we have heard in the Hillside Beach community he was a dedicated man who did far more than anyone will every know in clearing, working tirelessly, advocating, fundraising and making a beautiful park for families to enjoy. It has been a wonderful place for our children and now grandchildren to enjoy and the fact that the park was named in his honour is a wonderful memory that the people and Council of Hillside Beach have of him. - Posted by: Laurie & John K (Hillside Beach Cottage Owner) on: Mar 20, 2020

I didn’t know Mr. Wall but I always saw him working hard at hillside beach. He kept the grass cut and everything so tidy. Everyone knew who Charlie Wall was and I’m sure he will be sadly missed. It’s nice for his family that the park is named after his memory. My deepest condolences to his family. - Posted by: Linda Kuhn (acquaintance) on: Mar 20, 2020
