Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • We meet Jean during our visits with our aunt couple times a week for the last year. She was a tablemate of my aunt. We would all sit and talk after dinner, and she would tell us about her life, and would always ask us if we had new pictures of our grandchildren to show her. We will miss her charm and wit. - Posted by: Grant and Barb Szpak (Friend) on: Apr 16, 2020

  • We are so sorry to hear of Jean’s passing. She was a very kind and caring person. We will never forget the party at the Feuer house back in the early 80’s. All of the Carlson brothers and families were there. It was wonderful to see everyone reconnecting with so much joy. So sad that this era has ended. ~ Neil, Wayne & Wendy Zambik. - Posted by: Neil, Wayne & Wendy Zambik (Family In Vancouver) on: Apr 04, 2020

  • So sorry to hear of Jean’s passing. She was such a good friend to Sadie, regularly visiting her when she was at Luther Home and even, I think, taking her out to do errands. I enjoyed the outings the three of us took to Smitty’s for lunch. Condolences to all remaining family members. - Posted by: Joan Dougherty (Friend) on: Mar 25, 2020

  • Very sorry for your loss. So happy I had a chance to see Jean this summer at Donwood. Fond memories of family visits when I was growing up. - Posted by: Arlene Jones (Friend) on: Mar 22, 2020

  • I was so glad to have known Auntie Jean and Uncle Harry. The summer we went across Canada (1974!) we stayed at Hilbre for a couple of days and enjoyed their hospitality. Ray had many phone calls with Auntie Jean when he was afflicted with cancer and she was a source of strength for him. Cherish the memories. - Posted by: Anita Romaniuk (Niece-in-law) on: Mar 21, 2020

  • Sincere condolences to Paula, Glenna and Alanna and their families. I've only heard those 3 names said together. They are synonymous to The Carlsons. My parents treasured the Carlson friendship for many years. - Posted by: Jim Walker (family friend) on: Mar 21, 2020
