I wanted to take a moment to pass on my condolences to the entire family of Dennis. I was involved for years with The Canadian Indemnity Company and first met Dennis when his firm, Fillmore Riley, began doing Insurance Litigation work for my firm. Dennis always brought a positive approach to every case he took on and provided us with the best legal representation possible. He brought professionalism mixed with sincerity and always some humour to lighten the situation. Dennis enjoyed life to the fullest and I always felt fortunate to know him as a friend and a business associate. Both myself and the Insurance Industry will miss you. I first met Dennis at Brandon College in 1954. Over the years we often played bridge, shared books and had lunches together. As a superintendent of schools I once hired Dennis, as a lawyer at Fillmore & Riley, to deal with a problem teacher in my school division. We eventually won our case with this teacher. We went skiing with our daughters at McCreary in western Manitoba. I ofter visited Dennis at the Ringstrom cottage at Lake of the Woods. We were both qualified pilots and flew together in aircraft that Dennis owned. Those were the days. Au revoir, mon ami. - Posted by: MICHAEL CZUBOKA (FRIEND) on: Apr 04, 2020
