EDMUND JAMES TICE
1927 - 2020
He was born on March 10, 1927 in Melville, Saskatchewan.
Ed was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Emma; wife Helen; son Larry; brothers, Donald, Leslie and Harry; sister Audrey and daughter-in-law Bonnie.
He leaves behind sister Ruby; sons, Gerald, Chuck, Elmer (Rose) and Tim; grandchildren, Lindsay, Christopher, Steven (Connor), Shauna, Michael (Kristen) and Matthew (Jeremy) and six great-grandchildren.
Ed moved to Winnipeg with his brother in late 1940s. His first job here was with Western Groceries. Shortly after, he met his beautiful wife Helen and married her December 1, 1951. He worked many years at Canada Cable & Wire, retiring in 1992.
Through his life Ed, enjoyed going to many cousin reunions and family gatherings playing cards. He also enjoyed tinkering and trying to be Mr. Fix-it. He had a passion for gardening, until he couldn't do it anymore.
Elmer and Rose would like to thank the nurses and staff at Golden Links Lodge for being passionate during Ed's last days.
No funeral will be held. A private family interment has taken place.

Your father was a quiet and friendly man. Of course I remember times as we all grew up and then later in life my husband (Phil) and going over to play cards a few evenings when they lived on Waller. So sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Carol Stoess (Old neighbor) on: Apr 04, 2020
