Dad, was my step father, whom I loved and always will so much. He taught me so much about doing stuff that's important, to do it the right way. Sitting in a bush off the highway, we cut tree cords so to have fire wood, and that day I forgot to grab the screw driver that he needed for his chainsaw. He got a little pissed that I didn't bring it when he told me to get it before we left. I felt scolded, but it was fine, we drank black coffee and finished our day. He told me in the truck to not worry about the screw driver and that things are okay cause we got what we needed. when we got back, he got out of the truck and came up to me giving me the biggest reassuring hug, that it made me feel like things were going to be okay and it was. I think about him all the time and when I feel like crying, I think about that hug that day. I love you Dad. RIP. - Posted by: Clayton Nabess (Step son) on: Feb 27, 2024

Kristjan lived with us for awhile in Keewatin Ontario, when he first left the farm, back in the 60's. We knew each other from being on our family farms in Hayland Manitoba. I recall St.Janny at the Hayland Picnic, with his prized golden 57 Plymouth Belvedere with the big tail fins; as was common then, a mickey was pulled from under the front seat, for a social drink. That was one of the many enjoyable times shared in the company of Kristjan. In later years, an encounter with Kristjan was always cherished for the warmth of his spirit. I will miss those visits, may he rest in peace. - Posted by: Jack Williams (old friend) on: Apr 21, 2020
