URSULA BURCHUK
She is survived by her husband Bill of 55 years; and children, Peter (Cindy), Gerd (Lauralee), Judy (John), Monica and Ralph; also grandchildren, Carol, Kyle, Meghan, Charlie, Samantha, Michael and Erika. She also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren and relatives in Germany. Ursula was predeceased by her first husband Fritz in 1963; her parents, Hans and Wilhelmina; her in-laws, Fritz and Greta; her brother Hans (Marian) and her brother Willie. She was also predeceased by in-laws, Nick and Minnie Burchuk; sisters-in-law, Mary and Marian; brother-in-law Alex, and also nephew Ulrich.
Ursula, or as she was lovingly known as Oma too many, was born in Essen-Werden Germany in 1931. She moved to Canada in 1957 and settled in Winnipeg. At an early age Ursula took up sewing and became an accomplished seamstress working at her trade for the majority of her career. When it came to friends and family there was not a project Oma would not tackle and the sewing machine usually ran into the wee hours of the morning. Some of her great loves in life were gardening at home and the lake. Ursula could hardly wait for her favourite time, spring, to get her hands in the dirt and her garden planted. Her other great love was listening to music. All members of the family would agree the meals she created were Wunderbar and no one ever left hungry. Oma always loved being around friends and family and was loved by all who knew her. Ursula was a longstanding member the Kolping Society and St. Joseph's Church.
Heartfelt thanks to Anita and her team at Palliative Care for your kindness and compassion.

Oma's Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
