KATHARINE REID

It is with heavy heart I announce the passing of my mother, Katharine Reid, on April 19, 2020.
Katharine, known to friends as Karen, came to Winnipeg from Sunderland, England in 1974 on a nursing exchange program and decided to make Winnipeg her home. She worked at the Health Sciences Centre and later, before retiring was a nurse at Headingley Penitentiary. She moved to Pinawa in 2015 to live with me and Margaret.
Left to cherish her memory are her son Geoff (Margaret), grandson Scott, and Margaret's children, Adam (Carie), Jamie (Jon).
I would like to thank the Whitemouth Care Home for there care.
In keeping with Mother's wishes cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, Karen would have liked a donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
