ALICE GUICHON
1921 - 2020
She was predeceased by her husband Aimé; her parents, Eugénie and Phillippe Ruest; all 10 of her siblings, Thérèse, Béatrice, Alphonse, Sr. Antonia, Sr. Marie-Marthe, Sr. Simone, Lionel, Annette, Rose and Marcel; as well as her daughter Pauline Sourisseau and her son Roger Guichon.
Alice will be greatly missed and remembered by her daughter Mariette Sunderland; son in-law Reg Sourisseau; her grandchildren, Jenny Erickson, Jimmy Sourisseau, Jamie Sunderland, Lisa Reyes, Danny Sourisseau and Cheryl Masesar; as well as her 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; relatives and friends.
Alice was born on September 7, 1921 in St. Pierre-Jolys, MB. She was an amazing wife, mother, sister and mémère. She was a strong, hardworking, affectionate woman with an infectious laugh, who will be greatly missed by all that were blessed to have known her.
She was an energetic woman that loved to knit and crochet, play cards (especially Canasta and Skip- Bo), cook great meals, bake pies and was always active in the church, community and family activities.
In later years at Action-Marguerite St. Vital, she loved visits from her family and listened attentively to all of our everyday activities, adventures and most of all cherished memories of the past. She also really enjoyed looking at pictures and snacking on raspberries, nuts, New Bothwell cheese and Ferrero Rocher chocolates.
C'est difficile de te dire au revoir mais le bon Dieu est venu te chercher et maintenant tu seras en paix. Une chose est certaine, tu seras toujours dans nos vies et nos curs pour nous guider et nous protéger. Repose-toi belle mémère on t'aime gros!
The family wishes to thank the staff at Action-Marguerite St. Vital for the wonderful care and patience they showed towards Alice.
As per Alice's wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Action-Marguerite St. Vital.
