Great mentor! Prof. Egil Grislis was an encourager of destiny. He supported me throughout my teaching assistantship and doctoral studies at the University of Manitoba. Lovely man of God. Sleep well, until we meet our Lord Jesus Christ. - Posted by: Dr Adewale Kuyebi (Doctoral Student) on: May 13, 2021

I was a student of Egil's from 1975 to 1979 in the doctoral program at Hartford Seminary. He was a demanding and yet supportive and encouraging mentor. I appreciated Lorraine as well and spent many hours in their home. I wrote at length of my appreciation of Egil in my recent spiritual autobiography (Will You Come and Follow Me: One Pastor's Journey). I will miss him greatly! - Posted by: Dr. John luoma (Friend and student) on: Jan 14, 2021

Dr Grislis was my professor at U of M in 1992/93.what a gentle, lovely and intelligent man he was. I was in class when he let us know his beloved wife, Lorraine, passed away. His influence has stayed with me all these years. I always enjoyed our conversations in class and in his office (filled with books and a typewriter!). My condolences to his family. - Posted by: Libby Gibson (Student) on: Dec 24, 2020

I have many fond memories of Egil from the classroom and home. He was a fine scholar delivering lectures from a depth of knowledge, personal experience and sharp sense of humour. Indra, Kris and family, may God comfort you and bless his memory. Into paradise may the Angel's lead him... - Posted by: Don Engel (Friend) on: Apr 25, 2020
