With love and great sorrow, with his family by his side, we announce the passing of Gerlando Russo Introito, on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at the age of 89.
Gerlando was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rosaria; son, Gaetano; daughter-in-law, Angie; sisters, Concetta, Francesca (Vincenzo) and Assunta (Leone). He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Julie, Salvatore (late Angie), Giuseppina (Anders) and Antonino; grandchildren, Jared, Matthew and Luca; many nieces and nephews in Winnipeg, and family in Italy and Rockford, Illinois.
Gerlando was born on March 8, 1931, in Agrigento, Sicilia, Italia and immigrated to Canada in 1956. He worked for 39 years at CNR, where he made many close friends. His greatest love was his family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Grace Hospital for the care he was given. A big thank you to the amazing staff at Calvary Place Personal Care home.
Prayers and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gerlando's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2, or online at alzheimer.mb.ca

Julie and Tony, I was so sorry to hear of your father's passing. I could see the great love you had for your father as you cared for him everyday and sat by his bedside. It was a pleasure to get to know you over the last few years, but very sad not to be able to talk to you over these last months.
