PATRICIA JUNE EMERSON
(nee DOUGLAS)
June 8, 1936 - May 4, 2020
She was born in Winnipeg on June 8, 1936, and was one of five children.
She is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband of 36 years, Don Emerson; her children, Diana (Mike), Linda, Glenn (Deborah), Heather (James), Jeff (Susan) and Curtis (Diane). She is also deeply remembered by her grandchildren, Vivian, Cassandra, Andrea, Daniel, Denise, Ian, Sammy, Marcus and Jet; as well as many great-grandchildren.
Patricia's enjoyments in life included fishing, travelling, making and selling jewelry, being fashionable, and most importantly, the love and the laughs she experienced at family gatherings.
Patricia and Don married in Las Vegas, and treasured all the memories they made while living at Caddy Lake, and then West Bank, BC for 10 years. They became snow birds and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it together. Patricia missed being with her family so much, so they happily returned back to Winnipeg to once again enjoy the special times she loved with her family and friends. Patricia's kindness, wit, spark for life, and inspiration she shared with so many, made her someone people genuinely wanted to be around.
Her ashes are placed to rest at Chapel Lawn, and a Celebration of Life gathering will be announced for a future date. Stories and memories of Patricia can be shared at that time, as well as online through this obituary.

Even though I haven’t seen Mrs. Emerson in over 10 years her and her husband always hold a special place in my heart. Last time I saw them was at a party over 10 years ago and when I saw them I broke down and cried. I missed them dearly as once they sold the cabin at Caddy Lake they moved to BC and did some travelling. She was our neighbour at the lake and they sold their cottage when I was 18 years old. I was so upset that they were leaving but cherish all the memories I had with them. I think I was over at their cottage more so than mine. I loved spending time visiting with them. Very kind souls. The lake hasn’t been the same since they left. They were like a second set of grandparents to me. Gone but not forgotten. Rest In Peace Mrs. Emerson ❤️ Love Deanne Dickerson (Floren) - Posted by: Deanne Dickerson (Friend of the family) on: May 09, 2020

To Don and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I wish I was near you to give you all a big hug. I will cherish the memories I have of being with Pat as we laughed, shopped, and drank wine in B.C., Arizona and Winnipeg! Rest in peace Pat.
