AUDREY CAMERON
October 16, 1941 - May 8, 2020
A fighter to the end, unfortunately the frailty of the human body could not match her indomitable spirit.
Born and raised near Hanley, SK, she was one of seven children of John and Pearl Sherwood (Beaumont). Family was a watchword for her throughout her life, remaining very close to her brothers and sisters and their families, as well as being involved with all of her children and grandchildren. Many people would shake their heads when she would have (at the time) all seven of her grandchildren over for sleepovers, but for her time spent with her family was to be treasured and there was never enough.
Audrey was predeceased by her brother Cal, sister Vi, brother Gordon and sister-in-law Dorothy, and brother-in-law Jim. She leaves to mourn her passing Neil (Corinna), their boys, Ian and Matthew; Colin and his boys, Christopher and Quinn; Ann and her children, Andrew, Vincent and Stephanie, and her step-grandchildren, Erin, Tyson and Christian. She also leaves behind her surviving brother Berny (Lesley) and sisters, Milly and Elva (Erwin), brother-in-law Larry, sister-in-law Donna, many nieces and nephews, and her "adopted" children like Miles, Rob, Big Kevin and Little Kevin.
She was a graduate of the Saskatoon City Hospital nursing class of 1964. Audrey worked in several hospitals in the Lakehead in Ontario, Calgary, AB, and Winnipeg, Manitoba, finishing her career at Deer Lodge Hospital.
Later in life, battling vision issues, she was still fiercely independent living on her own and continuing to participate in multiple activities including bowling, cards, and elderobics. She had a large circle of friends both in Winnipeg and those she enjoyed travelling to visit, and remained in close contact with them all through phone calls. She was a long-time member of St. Chad's Anglican Church.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sturgeon Creek 1, especially Kari and Kathleen, where Audrey lived for the last 15 months, providing compassionate and caring support, allowing her to remain independent.
Thanks also to the staff at Deer Lodge on 4E, your kindness and care during her final months, especially during this pandemic, provided her family with some measure of comfort, knowing you were there for her when we could not be there as much as we wanted.
Know that you were loved, and will be
greatly missed. Rest In Peace.
Should you wish, donations may be made in memory to Diabetes Canada, the Canadian Cancer Society, or to a charity of your choice.

I am so sorry to hear of Audrey's passing. She was a faithful member of our Saskatoon City Hospital Alumnae - MB Chapter. We always enjoyed her company - especially her sense of humour - at our luncheons. She will be missed. - Posted by: Gwen Rasmussen (Old City Hospital friend) on: May 18, 2020

So sorry to hear of Audrey's passing. She was a great friend to my mother Winnie who passed in 2005 and my father Al, who passed in 2016. I recall her great sense of humour and amazing dedicated drive to be a mom to all the kids that were involved in her life. A truly amazing individual. God bless Audrey and those she leaves behind - Posted by: Doug Fraser (Son of Winnie & Al Fraser, friends of Audrey) on: May 17, 2020
