I had the pleasure of working with Pat at old 585 Safeway, River & Osborne store in 1965-66. She was a very capable head cashier there under store manager Johnny Buckner. This was one of the key stores as Premier Duff Roblin shopped there and other Safeway head office personnel dropped in to shop on their way home. You had to be prepared to give excellent service and have a well stocked store or you heard about it. Pat was up to this demanding criteria. Pat made an impression on me and I can still picture here walking across the back of the checkouts, verifying checks, getting change for the cashiers. Thank you for the memories. - Posted by: colin dederick (fellow Safeway worker) on: May 21, 2020
