EMILY MARIE MANES
July 8, 1943 - May 16, 2020
May God gift you the wings of an angel Mom, Love Walt.
She was predeceased by parents, Walter and Ida Gunter; sister Joan; brother Ronald; and numerous friends and family. She was also predeceased by her true love, husband Harold (Howie).
Leaving behind family, friends and a whole lot of admirers. She is survived and cherished by son Walter (Holly); sister Olive (Gerald); sisters, Ida and Virginia; nephew Brad whom she adored and a niece; and family friends in British Columbia and the U.S., Raymond and Audrey, Susan, Clay and his family, John, Stacey (Teidje), Cydney (Michael); and special friend Diana (Franseco).
Em was a social butterfly with an outstanding personality and a huge heart. She was truly memorable. She was nicknamed Little General, as she was short in stature but would lay down the law and be afraid of her with her fearful voice.
She will be forever in our hearts and truly, deeply missed.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.

I was saddened to hear of Emily passing. She was always there to help if she could. She loved life to the fullest. Her son was her pride and joy. We all knew that from the first time you meet her. She wasn't scared to tell you how it is. Emily loved to clean and if she was at your place she wouldn't hesitate to jump in and do it for you. I hope God has restored your mind and body and you are pain-free. I would like to close with Bible verse Luke 23;34 Father, forgive them for they know not what they are doing. Emily was on the same floor as my Mom at the Maples nursing home. I loved her hats and had many conversations with her. She was a wonderful lady and was saddened when she could not walk any more and talk. I will always remember her smiling face and zest for life.
