(nee RITCHIE)
Born April 18, 1939 in Plymouth, England
Mum and Dad (George) immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada in 1969 with their young family and built a new life with family and many friends. Alex always had a smile and kind word for all she met.
Alex was predeceased by her parents, Ebenezer and Beatrice Ritchie; her loving husband George Hendy (1987); mother-in-law Maude Hendy; her sister and brother-in-law Dawn and Jim Metters; her sister-in-law Joan Pitts (Mervyn Pitts), and brother-in-law Peter Hendy (Susan).
Alex leaves behind her children, Gillian and David; grandchildren, Kayleigh, Tara, Nicholas, Connor (Kimberly) and Paige; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews, and her many friends. She leaves us with many fond memories of her love for family and friends, playing cards and games, singing along to musicals and her stubborn streak! We love you, Mum
Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Maples Care Home for the love and care they showed Mum. She loved her time with you all!

Deepest condolences to the family. I work with Gillian and have know her for years. It sounds like Gillian is a lot like her Mom with a smile and kind word for all she meets as well.
